Grumpy Locals
Venice is a tourist magnet. Tourism is an important source of income for the locals. But some locals get sick of all the tourists, walking in the way and not speaking Italian. Some locals carry whistles on them just to scare and trick the tourists into getting out of their way!

Cruise ships
Venice is a famous city for cruise ships to anchor. Those cruise ships are huge and can only sale through Venice with the help of some tugboats. When you are standing on the qual and you look at those ships, you probably will see a lot of flashlights from tourist cameras.

Wet feet @San Marco square
One night rain and the next day you walk at the San Marco you might get wet feet when you don't look out. After some rain, there are immediately some big puddles at the San Marco. It's annoying because you can't walk everywhere at the square, but at the same time it's funny. Just sit down on a dry place and watch the people in rows walking down the galleries like penguins, just to avoid the water.

But it can even be worse! Last year on the 11th of November central Venice was 70% overflooded (see picture). 200 people got evacuated. You might think that's a disaster, but for Venice it's common every year. And luckily, the locals know how to deal with these circumstances.
